Loretta A. Ragsdell asks:
"I will be remembering my cousin, Keona Smith, and my grandfather, James Flowers. My cousin died at age 18 of an enlarged heart, and I just recently lost my grandfather two months ago, and I miss them very much."
"I will be remembering my father, John Tolefree. He was an awesome man, good to others; he would give you the shirt off his back. He's been gone since 1996, and I miss him dearly.
"I will be remembering all my relatives who passed before me. My father John, two aunts, and I had four uncles who were in the military who served our country. I'll be remembering them and thanking them for their service - my Uncle Jack, John, Mike, and Leroy."
"I will be remembering my brother, Antoine Wright, because he got killed last year, and he was taken away from us at a very young age. He was 39, and I just really wish we had more time. He was killed in an accidental shooting; a man used him as a bullet-proof vest."
"I will be remembering my grandparents, Mary and Eugene Young. They are dead and gone and they won't be here with us. My grandmother has been gone about four years and my grandfather has been gone about 10 or 15 years. I really, really miss them."
"I'll be remembering my mother, Mildred Hinton. She passed in October 2010, and by her being the matriarch of the family, that's what kept us glued together. She was our glue, but since she's been gone, the family has separated, parted. We are not close like we used to be. That's what I'm going to miss this Memorial Day."
