Cool kids

Students from Louis Armstrong Elementary School, 5345 W. Congress Parkway, performing at the Institute for Positive Living's Open Book Program on Dec. 12. The event took place at University of Chicago Charter - Donoghue, 707 E. 37th Street. The kids did a skit inspired by author M. LaVora Perry's book "Taneesha Never Disparaging". The Open Book Program highlights literacy and reading through activities. To learn more: www.openbookprogram.org.
