The Illinois Department of Employment Security and National Able Network, a Chicago-based non-profit employment training agency, has jointly opened the Grand Avenue Community Employment and Resource Center on the West Side. The center, located at 3500 W. Grand, features a computer lab with high speed Internet access, online job training, word processing and resume development tools. Telephones, fax machines and copiers are also available. A full-time staff is available to assist residents with job referrals and support services. The center’s phone number is 773/227-7117.
