Access Community Health Network (ACCESS) recently announced that it has opened a health center at Advocate Bethany Hospital, located at 3435 W. Van Buren St.
Former Advocate Bethany physicians Dr. Mohammad Chaudhary, Dr. Nadira Alikhan and Dr. Suresh Talathi will continue their current practices at the site. In addition, ACCESS at Bethany will serve as a new primary care access point for low-income West Side residents in need of affordable health services.
ACCESS is the nation’s largest network of federally-qualified health centers, with 45 locations throughout the city and suburbs. The new site will open with the pediatric and internal medicine services currently being provided, and within the year, will add services not previously offered, such as extended hours and Ob/Gyn to more comprehensively address patient needs.
Established in 1992, ACCESS provides primary and preventive health care to 200,000 individual patients annually, one-third of which are uninsured.
