Lists of Cook County property owners who owe taxes were published incorrectly in the May 2, 2007, issue of the Forest Park Review due to a computer glitch at the county office, according to Treasurer Maria Pappas. The correct delinquency information was sent by certified mail to all of the 37,500 property owners who owed $102.5 million from tax year 2005. The correct information is also available on the county treasurer’s website, according to a written statement from Pappas. Those without Internet access can use the automated phone system at (312) 443-5100.

Lists of delinquencies are published to give property owners notice of the Annual Tax Sale beginning June 5.
