A drive-by shooting in Austin last Thursday night left one man wounded and another man dead, according to Chicago police.
A 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were shot shortly after 8 p.m. last Thursday, July 5, on the 4200 block of West Jackson Boulevard and South Keeler Avenue.
The 23-year-old unidentified man was shot in the left arm. The 27-year-old man, identified as Edward Washington, was killed. The two men were riding in a black, four-door Cadillac when another vehicle pulled up beside it. Shots were fired from the passenger side of the vehicle, police officials said.
The injured victim is listed in stable condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Washington was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 9:41 p.m., officals said. Police are investigating
