Good Work for Austin
Reverend Butts is to be congratulated for helping people in the community, especially youth [Corner store teaches youth about business, Oct. 9]. He understands the importance of economic self-sufficiency in the African-American neighborhoods. He is a great model for young people by living a very important sermon.

Please come forward
I feel that if there are witnesses out here they need to step up [$10,000 reward offered in rape case, Oct. 2]. I live around the area and I’m only 19. I don’t want to end up in the same situation. This has gotten out of hand; from the raping to the shootings. I just hope they get him because it’s just crazy.

Healthier choices needed
I think that Quench is an excellent restaurant for this community or for any other community for that matter [Food for the body and soul, Aug. 14]. Not only is it bringing healthy food into a ‘greased-fill’ environment but it’s also bringing a positive atmosphere, which promotes positive energy and, hopefully, lots of other positive things to follow. I am currently in the process of planning my own healthy eating establishment and I certainly look towards Quench and the other pioneers of healthy establishments of its type. Keep up the great work.
