The Proviso East Marching Band were among the performers last Thursday for the annual Tree lighting and parade along Madison Street. The tree lighting took place at the 15th District Police Station, 5701 W. Madison. The parade began on Cicero, heading west to the station. Parade participants included the Exodus Drum Corps., Ald. Isaac Carothers (29th), and the Moo & Oink mascots. The festival is sponsored by the Austin Chamber of Commerce.
