“When I grow up I want to become a film editor. The reason I want to do this is because my sister; she is a film editor and I like what she does. She currently works for NBA-TV in Atlanta. She does highlights and I like that; I think it is pretty cool. My favorite subjects are world history and physics; I really like those a lot. World history teaches me what happened before me, and physics teaches me about science; and I love science. And I like attending Christ the King because I like the work study program and everything it stands for. It helps us African American students be better in what we’re doing.

The reason I would like to become a pediatrician is because I like to work with kids, and to help other kids that are sick. I would like to be an OB doctor because I would like to deliver my cousins, nieces and relatives. My favorite subjects in school are algebra and physics. I like Algebra because I like math, and physics, because I like to find out why things happen. I like attending Christ the King; I feel like it is an opportunity for us to learn more.”

“I want to be a medical doctor because I don’t like seeing older people sick and don’t like seeing people with problems. I want to see everybody happy. My favorite subject in school is science because I learn about artifacts and history. And I also like math because I thought about also becoming an accountant. And Christ the King offers me a brighter future. I feel like it will make it easier for college because they will recognize I’m in a good school.”

“For my profession, I would like to be a veterinarian. Growing up I always liked being around animals and they always seen to have an attachment to me. My favorite subjects are algebra, Latin and physics. Algebra helps me better my knowledge of counting and solving problems. I like physics because it teaches me more about science and an explanation of things going on around me, [and] Latin because I like learning foreign languages. I like Christ the King because when I came here it seemed like a better opportunity for me. It was an affordable tuition for me and my parents.”
