“I think it’s a tragedy. Yes, I do believe the Earth is coming to an end because everything that’s happening today is stated in the Bible about these things that are going to happen when the Earth is coming to an end. As far as the United States going over there to help, I say yes; I do believe they should go over there and assist however they can assist, but let’s not forget about home. Let’s start doing some things over here to make this a better place, and at the same time, give a helping hand to those who need it.”

Anthony Evans

“I have no problem with relief and helping with humanitarian relief, but my thing is [the United States] don’t take care of home first. Know what I’m saying? We got starving people, we have earthquakes and stuff out in California, and things of that nature, landslides. My thing is they don’t take care of home first. I’m a vet, so I understand we do have allies, and we are to assist them. I’m a Christian too, so I believe in helping them, but my thing is take care of home first, you know, because we have people struggling here who don’t have jobs, who don’t have food, none of that, but we’ll spend billions of dollars that we’ll send over there to clean up other people’s mess-ups, and, some of that money can be used right here.”

Paul Shaffer

“By us living in the United States and you having disasters over there in other countries, I think we should help them because it could possibly easily happen over here too. Obama needs to go over there and give them some support because a lot of people have died over there. I think us being the United States, we’re a big country, and I think we could provide them with help and medical and all that. I’ve seen it on World News Tonight about what happened over there, and one day we might need their help. I don’t know what’s going on with this. Maybe God is trying to tell us something. The world might be coming to an end. Who knows?”

Lara Johnson

“I believe in helping people, period. I think that if we can help them, then we should help them. And I do think the world is coming to the end real soon. Everything that’s happening is in the Bible. I do think we are living in our last days. I do think we should help people. My grandmother (Margo Hatneigh) is already sending stuff over there. She’s sending stuff to everybody. I’m for real. She has a house full of stuff she sent to Hurricane Katrina, and all this other stuff she sent to the army. That’s all she does is help everybody.”

Rodric Martin

“I think everybody should be involved in helping because it could happen to us. God’s been trying to tell us something, and it shouldn’t take the tsunami and the earthquakes for everyone to realize the world is coming to an end. It’s in the Bible.”

Sabrina Bell

“First of all, I don’t think God has anything to do with it. It’s just the climate, the weather, you know. It could be what’s intended to happen with global warming. And then, too, I think the United States should try to help Japan and other countries that have certain disasters, hurricanes or earthquakes or whatever it might be. I think it’s a good thing because if we were in that situation, we would want help from them just as well, so it’s all good.”

Carl Johnson

“Yeah, it has a little to do with God, and yeah, the United States should help out. God is showing us the world is about to end. I really believe that, but we should help other countries because everybody should get together and help when countries go bad; then everybody should get together and help each other. Because that’s the way God wanted it, for us to help everybody in the world.”
