Police seized more than 12,000 pounds of marijuana with a street value of greater than $33 million on the West Side on Monday.

Seven men were charged in connection with the seizure, which was conducted by a Chicago Police Narcotics Unit. Two firearms and seven vehicles were also found during a raid on a warehouse on the 1000 block of S. Kolmar, according to police. 

Officers stopped a cargo van leaving the warehouse and found 2,500 pounds of cannabis inside, according to a police report. A search of the warehouse resulted in the seizure of the additional cannabis.

Sotero Salazar, 43, Manuel Sanchez, 37, Calderon Sandoval, 25, Jesus Munoz, 20, Ruben Salazar, 37, Salvador Lopez, 28, and Daniel Saucedo, 36, were all charged in connection with the investigation.
