Life Is A Forward Process
I love great old saying even though I am not always sure just what they mean. One of my favorite sayings is: “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” To me, this meaning is crystal, but what happens when life gets in the way of what you’ve planned? In a nutshell this statement means that we shouldn’t leave anything up to chance, and that we should actively plan our life by making choices and decisions that we believe will make it better and help us to accomplish our desired goals. It also suggests that if we don’t do this and we leave our choices and decisions up to chance, we have chosen a plan, which will surely fail.
I get this, but how do you explain when your chosen plan does not lead to your desired outcome or goals? I think the best explanation for this is even though we make great plans and set them into motion, there is an uncertainly about life which even the best laid plans can’t get around, so when life gets in the way of your plan you have two choices, go with it or re-think, re-direct, or revise you plan so that you can accomplish your goals. There are many routes to where you want to go in life; however, you might not be able to avoid some detours because there are great lessons for you to learn on your journey.
Thought for the week:
“In life, the moment of absolute certainty never arrives.”
