The 2013 Juneteenth Festival is set for June 14-16 in Austin. The event is co-sponsored by the Westside Historical Society and Austin Weekly News.
The three-day event includes a parade and gospel celebration, as well as stage performances and merchant vendors. The fest is scheduled to take place on Chicago Avenue east of Mayfield and at the Sankofa Cultural Arts and Business Center, 5820 W. Chicago Avenue.
