Bricks honoring five Austin community leaders who have passed

Longtime Austin community leader MaryAnne Simmons was one of five remembered during a brick-laying ceremony at Austin Memorial Garden on May 18.
The other honorees were Flossie Nelson, Alice Carter, McKinley Melton and Rev. Lewis Flowers. Located at Washington and Laramie, the garden was created by the Austin Green Team.
