Ray Easley, a leader and former vice president with the Westside Branch NAACP, died over the weekend. His involvement with the Westside branch was a family affair, with his wife and children active members.
The elder Easley was among Austin’s and the West Side’s most respected and active community leaders. Austin Weekly News will have more coverage of Easley’s life in an upcoming issue.
