A “Know Your Rights & Resources” CommUnity Conference will be held for Chicago area residents on Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m., at Whitney Young High School, 211 S. Laflin. Parking is free. The school can also be accessed by the CTA Blue Line at the Racine/Loomis stop and the 126 Jackson bus. 

The event is free for participants. Both legal and community resources will be on hand at the conference as well as information about housing rights (for tenants, landlords, as well as homeowners and renters living in properties facing foreclosure); criminal justice, education, youth, and veterans. Job information will will also be available, so please bring your resumes.

If you have an organization and would like to be a resource vendor, the deadline to register has been extended to Friday, April 4, (and Saturday, April 5, for those who are able to drop off their registration form and fee in person at the NAACP’s general meeting.)
