On Friday, April 18th, Austin Weekly News organized a Women’s Health Panel. Over 35 women attended this free community forum and breakfast so generously hosted by Hartgrove Hospital located at 5730 W. Roosevelt Road in Chicago.
Austin Weekly News’ West Side Business Network conducted a survey to get an idea of what types of health issues mattered to local women. During the two hour forum, the panelists were asked over 20 questions. The panel consisted of:
  • Dr. Judy Carter: Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism in the Internal Medicine department at Rush Oak Park Hospital
  • Dr. Lois M. Clarke: Medical Director for Horizon Emergency Physicians Group at Loretto Hospital

  • Dr. Angell Jones: Surgeon with special interest in Breast Health at Mount Sinai Hospital

  • Raelle Wilson: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor; crisis trainer at Hartgrove Hospital

Panelists were enjoyable, lively, very approachable and realistic, and offered a wealth of information about Women’s Health.

Our friends at Hartgrove Hospital were wonderful hosts. Their Chicago Room is a lovely space for events. Most of the women stayed for tours of Hartgrove’s facilities after the event.
