Local pastor and activist, Rev Ira Acree of the Greater St. John Bible Church will debut his weekly television show beginning Friday, July 11, called “All Hands On Deck”. The 30 minute talk show starts at 5 p.m. and can be viewed on cable access 21.

Acree writes in a news release that his goal for the show is to educate and empower the viewers, while being a catalyst for change. He plans to challenge all the major institutions of Chicago and seeks to inspire people to work together collectively toward a common goal of leveling the playing field economically and educationally for all.

“On my show, I hope to highlight the selfless people of our community who are in the trenches working hard every day to make our city a better place to live for everyone. I will also not hesitate to call out and or confront institutions that are divesting in the inner-city and abusing the people. No one will get a free pass, especially the well paid ‘do nothing’ politicians that populate our city council and state legislature.” Stated Rev Ira Acree

Sonny Parker, former NBA star and father of 2014 NBA second overall pick, Jabari Parker, will be the show’s first guest. The elder Parker has headed the Sonny Parker Youth Foundation for over 20 years. He will discuss how his organization has kept hundreds of kids off the street, kept them out of harm’s way, and prepared them for life. Parker will also offer parenting tips.
