Community activist Q Green is presenting Stop The Violence, a block party on Leclaire and Superior Sunday, August 24, 2-8 p.m. All children are invited to receive free book bags, food and refreshments. There will be games, prizes, activities, pony rides, dunk tanks and more. Adults who have yet to register to vote, will have an opportunity to do so at the block party.

This event will also feature live entertainment by Katie Got Bandz, most famous for her national single “Pop Out”, Bop King Lil Kemo, basketball and rap sensation Toni Romiti, Phatal, Mattiebaybee, Yung G and more. The event will be hosted by Chris, from the TV shows “Reawakening” and “All About Chris”.

Q Green is an advocate for giving the children in his community positive activities to engage in as an alternative to gang violence. Over 200 of the more than 1,500 people shot so far in Chicago this year, have been school aged children. This event will be the first of many to combat violence, all supporters are welcome.
