What: United X in partnership with Men and Women Prison Ministries, M&D Youth Services, Roll Call, NAEFI, National of Islam Prison Reform Ministry, Saving Our Sons, Sista’s of the Hood and the North Lawndale Community Committee is hosting the Formerly Incarcerated Family Cookout to celebrate the successful outcomes of ex-offenders who are turning their lives around. The event features free food, activities for young people and free give aways.
The United X Collaborative is an informal grass-roots organization dedicated to strengthening the formerly incarcerated through community transitional education, supportive services, life coach mentoring, and personal, family and community improvement.
