The West Garfield Park Community Stakeholders will host a Community Town Hall Meeting on October 6, 2014 at the Allison United Foundation for Better Living, 4540 West Washington Boulevard in Chicago. There will be a reception from 5:30pm to 6:00pm, then the program will go until 8:00pm.
The evening will be a discussion of how critically important it is for our communities to unite to collaboratively stop senseless violence and substance abuse. The theme of the meeting is “Choose Not To Lose – Don’t Drink, Smoke or Kill.”
The West Garfield Park Community Stakeholders is a collection of residents, businesses government representatives, churches and other local concerned citizens whose mission is to bridge the inter-generational gaps in order to promote a safe and drug-free community. They work together with other local organizations, like Fathers Who Care and Austin Weekly News, to improve the quality of life on the West Side of Chicago.
