The West Side Business Network (WSBN) began in 2013 when the Austin Weekly News, the community paper for Chicago’s West Side, saw the need to provide networking opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs and bridge the gap between the city and neighboring west suburbs. It’s been a year now, and we’ve been remarkably successful with well over 500 community members and partners in our network. Governor Quinn recently gave us a proclamation acknowledging our work.
In order to thank our members, we are hosting the 2nd Annual West Side Business Network Holiday Party on December 4, 2014 from 5pm-9pm at the Columbus Park Refectory in Chicago.
Even if you’re not a part of the West Side Business Network yet (it’s free to join!), please come to see what it’s all about!
You’ll get a chance for networking, and enjoy a “Taste of Local Eats,” a buffet with refreshments from a variety of local establishments. There will also be live entertainment from artists assembled by Local-Motions Performing Arts Organization.
The event is FREE and open to all local professionals, although RSVP is required: http://www.2ndwsbnholidayparty.eventbrite.com
When you RSVP online, you’ll get TWO free raffle tickets that you can pick up on the day of the event.
We will be raffling off many baskets filled with a variety of exciting prizes, from a family membership to Wonder Works Children’s Museum, tickets to a show at the Black Ensemble Theater, gift certificates to Wildfire restaurant, and much more!
Since the party is free to attend, we are seeking sponsorships to cover the cost of the party. This is the perfect chance for your business to show support for the community while growing awareness of your services! Benefits include a vendor table at the event, your logo included in the event program, and more.
We are also in need of donations of food to be served at the event, items to include in our raffle, and volunteers to help out at the party. All contributions will be acknowledged by including your logo in ALL print, online, AND email promotions of the event!
If you are interested in learning more about any of these opportunities, please contact Alicia Plomin, Communications and Marketing Manager: alicia@oakpark.com or (708) 613-3344.
