Loretto Hospital and Get Covered America Team Up for Health Care Enrollment Final Push
In effort to ensure the West Side gets covered, Get Covered America and Loretto will join forces with Congressman Danny K. Davis, State Representative Camille Lilly, and Ada S McKinley to hold enrollment events the next two Saturdays, 2/7 and 2/14
CHICAGO, IL — With just days left until the end of open enrollment, Get Covered America is teaming up with area partners and hospitals to make sure Chicagoans are able to get the help they need to get covered and stay covered by the February 15 deadline. This Saturday, February 7, Get Covered America along with Loretto Hospital, Congressman Davis, State Representative Camille Lilly and Navigator group Ada S. McKinley will present a health care enrollment event targeting residents of Chicago’s West Side during this monumental final push. The event takes place at Loretto Hospital on 645 S. Central, Chicago IL, from 10 AM until 3 PM.
The event is being held during Enroll America’s National Hospital Week of Action to help consumers get covered ahead of the February 15 deadline for the Health Insurance Marketplace. Studies by Enroll America show that hospitals and health care providers are among the most trusted voices for the uninsured when they have questions about their coverage choices, which positions them to play a critical role to help uninsured consumers access quality, affordable health coverage.
“Our partnerships with hospitals like Loretto have played a key role in our outreach during open enrollment and during our National Hospital Week of Action,” said David Elin, Illinois State Director with Enroll America and the Get Covered America campaign.“As we work nonstop during the remaining days before the deadline, we’re glad that we can count on the support of hospitals and health care providers to help make sure that Illinoisans get covered and stay covered.”
Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to meet with free, trained experts that will help them understand their health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act and find the plan that is right for them.
