About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 15th District (Austin) of Robberies that have occurred during the month of January/ February. In these incidents, victims are approached by one or two male offenders who display a handgun and demand their property.
Incident times and locations are listed below:
• 700 block of North Central on January 31, 2015 at 10:04 p.m.
• 600 block of North Mayfield on February 10, 2015 at 7:10 p.m.
• 5500 block of West Huron on February 14, 2015 at 3:55 p.m.
• 5700 block of West Ohio on February 22, 2015 at 11:45 p.m.
About the Offenders:
(One or two male black offenders armed with a dark colored handgun)
• Off #1 male black, 18-22 years of age, 5-09 to 6-00, Med –dark complexion
• Off #2 male black, 18-22 years of age, 5-05 to 5-10, Med-dark complexion
What you can do:
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• Obtain a good description of offender
• Look for anything unique (tattoos, scars,..) that would assist in identifying
offenders,
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene
