On Thursday, September 10, 2015, local professionals attended the 3rd annual one-day conference, Marketing Mania, at the Nineteenth Century Club in Oak Park. Guests had the chance to interact with other like-minded small business owners, entrepreneurs and non-profit leaders to identify prospects, create effective messaging and evaluate and choose social media platforms.

The three featured speakers were Peter Barber, an Oak Park Village Trustee and a nationally recognized marketing professional, Amber Dewey Schultz, founder of Clique Social + Design and Wednesday Journal’s own ad man and cartoonist, Marc Stopeck. Returning for his third year as a speaker at Marketing Mania, Marc gave the attendees tips he has learned throughout his 25 years helping local businesses and organizations connect to their community and market their products and services. Marc is an award winning cartoonist and illustrator, a teacher and a playwright.
