On Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, CPS students from the South and West Sides toured the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute on Goose Island in order to explore career possibilities in the field of manufacturing.
West and Side Side students were able to tour the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDII) on Goose Island during Manufacturing Day last Friday, Oct. 2, 2015.
The event was sponsored by World Business Chicago 1000 Jobs for Chicagoland Manufacturing partnered and the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute (DMDII) to actively engage the next generation with the expanding manufacturing industry.
Chicago Public School (CPS) students joined 1000 Jobs and DMDII for a day of career games, facility tours and Q&A panels that highlight career opportunities in manufacturing.
