SONTA, a member of our West Garfield Park Community Stakeholders, promoting a safe and drug free community.

18-year-old SONTA is coming straight from her bathroom mirror with a microphone hairbrush and her pretty brown eyes set on the top of the Chicago music scene and beyond. The self-proclaimed “Heart of the Hundreds” is banking on her brand of R&D (Rhythm and Drill) to help her break through a crowded landscape where talent is optional and longevity is fleeting. Not one to knock anyone’s hustle, Sonta wants to be the voice of the young ladies who are grossly under represented and in need of a “shero” that understands their story and can tell it like it is.
