On January 18th, Dr. Martin Luther King Day, citizens participated in a Police and Community United Roll Call and Smoke Out to serve, protect and feed our community at 4200 W. Madison and Keeler. The purpose of the Roll Call and Smoke Out is to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. We are our brothers and sisters keepers and we promote a safe and drug free community. Join the movement!

Thank you to Congressman Danny K. Davis, Senator Kimberly A, Lightford, Senator Patricia Van-Pelt,  Representative Pamela Reaves-Harris, Representative LaShawn Ford, Representative Camille Lilly, Alderman Jason Ervin, Alderman Chris Taliaferro, Commissioner Richard Boykin, Commissioner Robert Steele, Mike, Angela and Hawk from Garfield Park Community Council, Pastor James Dodd and Trina, Deputy Chief James Jones, Velda Brunner, the 11th District Police Department, Collette Carter of the Eastern Stars, Tesa Anewishi of Loretto Hospital, West Garfield Park Community Stakeholders, West Garfield Park Youth Council and the Listening and Public Safety Committees for participating!

We are, because others were and because others were, we are our brothers and sisters keepers. We don’t have one more mother and/or child to lose.

When spider webs unite, we can conquer a lion.

Teamwork can make the dream work.

Thanking you again for your ongoing prayers, leadership and commitment to empowering the least of us.
