On Sunday, February 28th Pastor Marshall Hatch and Associate Minister for Community Outreach, Rev. Walter Amir Jones, Jr., welcomed Alderman of the 28th Ward, Jason Ervin & his wife Melissa Conyers – Ervin and Candidate for State’s Attorney, Kim Foxx to New Mt. Pilgrim Church for the Maafa Remembrance Service. The purpose of the service was to remember the plight of our ancestors and reflect on their experiences traveling through the Middle Passage.
