Get heard at a town hall
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Cook County Commissioner Richard Boykin and Pastor Dave McGinley will host a Community Town Hall at Trinity Galewood Lutheran Church, 1701 N. Narrangansett Ave. in Galewood.

Enjoy the sounds of the Chicago Children’s Choir
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, 7 p.m., at Austin Town Hall, 5610 W. Lake St., the Chicago Children’s Choir will host their winter concert. A reception is scheduled for 6 p.m. After the performance, interested students in 3rd grade and older will be able to audition for the Austin Neighborhood Choir. This is free and open to the public. On Saturday, Dec. 2, 2 p.m., at 5437 W. Division St., state Rep. La Shawn K. Ford, Quiwana Bell and the Good Neighbors Campaign will host International day for the Abolition of Slavery.
