The Chicago Westside Branch NAACP, area elected officials and community organizations are gearing up to host a community bike ride on Saturday.
The Ride the Side bike ride will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The ride will start at the Columbus Park Golf Course, 5701 W. Jackson Blvd., and course through Garfield Park.
Bikers will then have the option of heading to Douglass Park or continuing to Union Park before heading to Douglass and returning to Columbus Park.
