Attend a Black History Push for Jobs 

On Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., inside the atrium of the James R. Thompson Building, 100 W. Randolph, state Rep. La Shawn K. Ford will host his second annual Black History Push for Jobs. The event is free and open to anyone looking for work or contract opportunities from the state.

Write about it 

On Tuesday, Feb. 5, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the North Austin Chicago Branch Library, 5724 W. North Ave., attend a creative writing group that will enhance your experience writing everything from fiction and nonfiction to poetry and song.
