Experience black history 

On Friday, May 11, 6 p.m., at BBF Family Services, 1512 S. Pulaski Rd., Black Harvest Film Festival West will screen "Wilmington on Fire," a documentary about a Reconstruction-era black town in the South that was destroyed by politically backed racist mobs. For more info, call (773) 542-7300. 


Join a Schweet celebration 

On Saturday, May 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 5051 W. Chicago Ave., the Austin African-American Business Network Association/SSA72 will host a 2018 Community & Business Summer Extravaganza to mark the opening of Schweet Foods.
