Celebrate Juneteenth
at the Golden Dome 

On Wednesday, June 19, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Garfield Park Golden Dome, 100 N. Central Park Ave., the West Side Historical Preservation Society and the Garfield Park Advisory Council will host Juneteenth Military Honors.

Learn about the importance of the 2020 Census 

On Thursday, June 20, 5:30 p.m., at 5820 W. Chicago Ave., the NAACP Chicago Westside Branch will announce their participation in the 2020 Census Count and encourage residents to learn the importance of why every individual matter and counts in the 2020 Census. 

The focus is on the hard-to-count communities. They'll share the demographics of where those people live and why the NAACP's work is necessary.

Register now for the Chicago Police Department's 15th District 2nd Annual Community Yard Sale and Vendor Event that will take place on Saturday, July 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the 15th District Station Northwest Lot, 5701 W. Madison St.
