Surprised to see West Side Bridge members Jan Pate and Dan Haley relaxing on a bench on Madison Street when I pulled up for West Side Bridge last Thursday, I quickly learned that our usual meeting place, Thyme & Honey, is closed for renovations. So, we left a note on the door and moved our crew down to Louie’s Grill for an enjoyable breakfast and conversation about bridging the gap between the West Side of Chicago and Western Suburbs. Today our group also included Lydia Villanueva-Soto (Tan Travel), Teresa Powell (Village Clerk Oak Park), Reverend Walter Jones (Father’s Who Care and West Garfield Park Youth Council), Sandra Sokol, Dr. Andre Hines (Cirlce Family Health Care Network) and Deborah Williams (Organizing for Action). Happy to hear we’ve connected Circle Family Health Care Network with the Infant Welfare Society and Children’s Clinic of Oak Park.
