The West Garfield Park Community Stakeholders (WGPCS), a consortium of residents, agencies, churches, elected officials, law enforcement, and businesses working together to improve the quality of life on the West Side community, is actively engaged in efforts to prevent substance abuse by young people and ending youth violence. The WGPCS board of directors held its monthly meeting on July 2nd, 2014.  Topics included crack down on underage liquor sales, upcoming community meetings, and more.

The next Community Meeting will be August 11th at 6pm at 4540 W. Washington in Chicago. Everyone is always welcomed to attend, if you are concerned with the future of the West Garfield Park Community and the welfare of its residents.
