The monthly meeting for the West Side Bridge networking group was held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 7:30am to 9am at Native Foods Cafe, 7343 Lake St. in River Forest.

Over 30 local professionals attended and many business cards and materials were exchanged. Native Foods provided light refreshments for the meeting, like their new Blueberry Crumble made with summer berries and a crunchy oat crust. Guests had the chance to introduce themselves and their business, and discuss events happening in the community. Many attendees took advantage of the chance to inform others about efforts they are involved in. Cheryl Flinn from the Oak Park & River Forest Symphony announced the four-concert Sunday afternoon series happening at Dominican University, Dr. Louverta Hurt invited the group to the 39th Leadership & Scholarship Luncheon on Sept. 26th hosted by the Ora Higgins Youth Foundation, and Sally Stovall mentioned the public gathering called Green ProAction Cafe on Aug. 27 hosted by Green Community Connections.

Native Foods makes everything fresh daily and offers a menu that is 100% plant-based. Visit NativeFoods.com for more details.

West Side Bridge gathers on the third Thursday of every month and the meeting location changes. The group is free to join. For more information, contact Alicia Plomin, Communications & Marketing Project Manager at (708) 613-3344 or alicia@oakpark.com, or visit OakPark.com/WSBN.
