On Dec. 18, the Jehova Jireh #1 Outreach Ministry will host a coat drive and community feeding at By The Hand Club for Kids, 415 N. Laramie Ave., from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The ministry, perhaps best known for its continued presence on the corner of Central and Madison, will give away numerous winter necessities, such as used and new coats, and donated clothes. In addition, they'll have free food and card games.

For more information, call Min. George Bady at (773) 209-5947.

Immerse yourself in Garfield Park Conservatory's sky forest

Visit the annual Holiday Flower Show at the Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central, while Christmas still looms in the future. This year's exhibit, Sky Forest, evokes a walk through wintery woods and highlights the towering beauty of the Fraser fir tree.

For more information on the show, which ends on Jan. 8, call (312) 746-5100 or visit garfieldconservatory.org.

Celebrate fathers this holiday season

Fathers Who Care and Westside Community Stakeholders present their annual Fathers and Families Christmas event, which will be held on Dec. 16, 1 p.m., at George Leland S.T.E.M. School, 512 S. Lavergne.

For more info, contact Fathers Who Care at (773) 287-5821 or email westsidecommunitystakeholders@gmail.com. Your prayers, support, volunteerism and toy donations for this event are greatly appreciated.
