Excited for the ideas and influences that will be generated by this group! And Thyme & Honey's food is great, so don't miss this next meeting!

Love the idea between the West Side Bridge. That is my heart as well to bridge the gap between residents who left the west side and residents who currently live there. Their connection is mutually beneficial. It is time we confront the effects of segregation on communities in Chicago that left neighborhoods behind while the suburbs flourished. It is time for us to talk about it, deal with the hard stuff, reconcile, and create a new norm.

West Side Women have met 4 times, and West Side Men had their first meeting in April. You can see some of the good energy here: http://www.austinweeklynews.com/Directory/Resources/West-Side-Women/ and here: http://www.austinweeklynews.com/Directory/Resources/West-Side-Men/

We are in our early stages of meeting with the intention of sharing our roles in the communities we serve, and suggesting connections and partnerships that could spur positive growth.

Seems like a great cause. What types of activities does this organization engage in to form and maintain relationships?
