Milton ‘Lil’Rel’ Howery

“I’m hoping that everything I’m suppose to do happens. I got a pilot to do my own cartoon and it appears it is a go. So, hopefully, the cartoon will be out in April. In 2008, I hope to be representing Chicago as much as I can. I was born and raised on the West Side. I really did make New Year’s resolutions. One is to attend church more often, and there are a couple of other things, but I don’t want to say because I don’t want to jinks myself. I made about six or seven of them, so I’m keeping a positive attitude.

Vernia Robinson

“My wish is to just have a new beginning with everything: life, family, business, spirituality and just a very clean slate. I want for my family and everybody else to stay safe and accomplish their hopes and dreams. Resolutions: No I did not make a resolution. Whatever I’m going to do, I’m going to do it.”

Tonia Johnson

“What I wish for in 2008 is for the Lord to bless me more than he has blessed me in 2007. I know what he has in store for me is much greater than what he has put in my path before. New Year’s resolution is the same every year: just to become a better person.”

Kenneth Sean Daly

“My wish for 2008 is to stay focused on what God has called me to do. I believe in new beginnings. I believe in new territories in my life, but it is up to me to step into that new territory. I just believe that God will direct me into that, and it’s more than just one thing that God is going to do. I just believe all those things, and I’ll follow through because it’s up to me to follow through with it.”

Eric Williams

“I just wish that for 2008 to be closer to God because I’ve had a lot of trials and tribulations through my 2007 year. I just want to make sure God takes care of me and that I stay close to the calling of God. Some of my tribulations were problems at jobs and at school. I want to make sure I don’t get suspended no more. I attend Prosser High, and I haven’t made a New Year’s resolution yet, but I’m working on it.”

Debra Robinson

“What I wish for 2008 is my husband (Charles) to live. He has gotten better after being in the hospital. I thank God for what he has done, and my New Year’s resolution is to live.
