One person is dead and another injured after a shooting on the Chicago side of the 6000 block of

W. North Avenue
at about 2 p.m. this afternoon.

 

According to Chicago police spokeswoman JoAnn Taylor, one person was found dead and the other person is expected to survive. As of 5 p.m., police have no motive for the shooting and no one in custody.

 

Commander Keenan Williams confirmed that Oak Park officers responded, but left shortly after finding the incident occurred on the Chicago side of the street.
