Women’s West Side & Oak Park Area Networking Group to meet for the first time Monday, February 4 th at 8am at Alice’s Restaurant, 5638 W. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60651.

“Let’s do breakfast and Grow Community”, was the message Dawn Ferencak, sales representative for Austin Weekly News, sent to her West Side and West Suburban contacts. Within in days, over 45 women had responded to her invitation to meet for breakfast, share stories, and grow support.

“Great things are happening on the West Side of Chicago! And the women who make things happen in the business community will gain strength in numbers. The response has been amazing! Women are coming from Chicago, Oak Park, Forest Park, Maywood and Brookfield.” – Dawn Ferencak

“The connections between the business community, church community, school community, and families living on the West Side extend far past the Austin Boulevard dividing line. Since joining the Austin Weekly News staff, it’s been enlightening to discover how many West Siders and West Suburbanites live, work, and play together. The energy is great, and this is something to edify, engage and uplift.”

Growing Community has been the mission of parent company Wednesday Journal Publications, Inc. for over 33 years. Now, women will come together, and it’s a natural – great things will grow from this group of like-minded women.
