-August Wilson, award-winning playwright. He was born Frederick August Kittel on April 27, 1945 in Pittsburg. On April 17, 1990, Wilson won his second Pulitzer Prize for his play, The Piano Lesson. His first Pulitzer was for Fences (1987). Wilson, 60, died in 2005.
