To help customers experiencing financial hardship and in need of assistance paying their monthly electric bill, ComEd is partnering with CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County) and other LIHEAP Agencies (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) to host CARE Fairs in communities across ComEd’s service territory. During the CARE Fairs customers can receive onsite assistance with their ComEd bill, including applying for financial assistance, bill payment options, as well as information on smart grid initiatives and how to save energy to lower monthly electric bills.

An upcoming CARE Fair is scheduled for May 8, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Austin Senior Center, 5071 W. Congress Parkway, Chicago.

For more information on ComEd’s assistance programs, customers can call 1-888-806-CARE (2273) or visit ComEd.Com/CARE. To apply for ComEd’s Residential Special Hardship program or State-sponsored assistance, customers should visit their local LIHEAP Agency. Customers can also follow ComEd on Facebook and Twitter.
