Psychologist and civil rights activist Kenneth Bancroft Clark was born on July 24, 1914 in the Panama Canal Zone. He grew up in New York with his mother and sister.
Clark and his wife Mamie, who was also a psychologist, were both active in civil rights. Clark, 91, died in 2005.
