The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Tau Gamma Omega chapter, will host “HIV /AIDS and STD Awareness Forum,” Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 from 9 a.m. to noon at Loretto Hospital, 645 South Central Avenue. This event is open to the public.
The group will conduct a survey questionnaire to assess knowledge of attendees about myths and facts of HIV/AIDS. Those who wish to be tested will be included in a gift card raffle. Free condoms for male and females will be available. Panelists include William Anderson of Hartland Association and Alexian Brothers Health System. Mama Brenda Matthews from Tap Roots will perform a spoken word piece.
