A video of the July 6 peace rally and the July 9 vigil held in Humboldt Park for 7-year-old Amari Brown, who was gunned down on July 4 outside of his home. Police say the bullet was meant for Brown’s father, Antonio Brown, an alleged ranking gang member. Some community members, however, said the father’s criminal background was irrelevant to the shooting, or at least that McCarthy’s pointing the fact out was ill-timed. Video by Jasmyne Monaco.
