The North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council (NLCCC) will host its first annual North Lawndale Community Planning Conference on April 16 at DRW College Preparatory High School, 931 S. Homan Ave. The conference, which will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., comprises the second phase of the organization’s comprehensive community planning process.

More than 200 community stakeholders, including elected officials, residents, religious leaders, students and business-owners, are expected to participate. The NLCCC is attempting to complete what would be the first comprehensive planning effort for the North Lawndale community in at least 50 years.
