Attend a FREE resource fair
On Saturday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Sinai Community Institute, 2653 Ogden Ave., Block Club Chicago, the news website, will host a FREE resource fair.
The event will feature free food, resources and information (learn how to expunge a criminal record, learn to administer the life-saving drug Naloxone and more).
Project I Am, led by 12-year-old Jahkil Jackson, will also be on hand to give out bags of essentials. You can donate toothpaste, water, socks and other items to help those in need through this Amazon Wishlist.
Event partners include: Sinai Community Institute, the North Lawndale Employment Network, the Chicago Bridge Project, Metropolitan Family Services, Public Narrative, Austin Weekly News, West Side Heroin/Opioid Task Force, I Am Able, UCAN, Field of Dreams Visionary Center, Catering out the Box, Project I Am, The Triibe and ReCAST via Metropolitan Peace Academy for being a part of this important event.
