Nine Inch Nails will headline Riot Fest’s return to Douglass Park in September.
Three-day passes for the punk rock music fest Sept. 17-19 went on sale Friday but quickly sold out. One-day passes will go on sale next week when will be announced, organizers said.
While $200 three-day passes are sold out, “ultimate” three-day passes that include VIP amenities, private bar and access to a private cabana, private restrooms and concierge service, were still on sale for $1,600 as of noon Friday.
The current lineup for Riot Fest 2021 also includes the Smashing Pumpkins, Run The Jewels, Pixies, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, DEVO, Coheed And Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, Sublime with Rome, NOFX, Dinosaur Jr., The Ghost Inside and Motion City Soundtrack.
Hip Hop acts at the festival will include Chicago natives Lupe Fiasco and Vic Mensa.
Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. The band previously performed at Riot Fest in 2017, and a survey of festival fans in 2019 ranked the Nine Inch Nails set as the top Riot Fest performance ever.
The full lineup for the music festival is available on the Riot Fest website. More bands for the 2021 festival will be announced.
Three-day passes for Riot Fest 2022 are also on sale now, the first time organizers have released tickets so far in advance. The 2022 music festival is set to be headlined by My Chemical Romance.
